I actually like MC a lot. I do think that if she creates somewhat healthy environment for the kid, Ain wouldn't end up having obsessive tendencies. I wouldn't generalise too much but it is always the lack of love in childhood that leads to unhealthy love in adulthood.

If she's kind to him, maybe he'll look for a nice girl like his stepmom instead of that country ruining hoe.

Yes, and one day he will pour everything he has into you, mother. Daily.

Just imagine seeing a person you dislike (who also happens to be quite violent) turn into a loving child the moment their mother appears. Happens quite often nowadays, but don't think you see it with child-killers.

Is it a good thing or a bad thing that Ain's enemy saw him being a momma's boy?

A funny thing, is all I know for sure.

@Mimux ok. so cousin. BUT, I think I'm the one whose too dense to see fluffy. All sorts of blackened villains when they become "obsessive", it's all about romantic tension. I actually really pray and hope NOT. Their just isn't enough of Ain's perspective to make it a fluffy atmosphere.
asking if "it's alright" in the situation shows doubt and other tendencies, it displays humanity, so far Ain is like a NPC whose backstory information is just getting shoved in my face, it's all surface and I can't connect or give an good Yelp review about Ain. I'm happy people can enjoy this story normally but I'm too critical to say "it's fine". the duke's development is slow and gradual, there's too little to make predictions on my part.
@OrcaCat Thanks for the info

@irregularperson but I think that's the point, most of all villains become crazy over romantic feelings
he once became obsessive over Elisa (or whatever was her name, I forgot sorry) and became the villain, but in this timeline, the point would be to not become obsessive over a thing or someone, learn what is family love, and grow stable with this new family structure and finally, avoid becoming the villain that will get himself killed

I kind of understand what you mean when you say with the backstory info being shoved tho😆

@Mimux I've been enlightened, that's another way to think about it. I think I can enjoy the story with a clear mind now. Thanks~

Ains won't be obsessed with Elisha. After all an Oedipus complex is being developed...

That'll be funny if Enisha was also a reincarnate.

I hope the MC stops ignoring Cassius and tries to get along with him or she'd be no different than the novel version of herself.

previous villainess latched onto Cassius and ignored Ain (from what i remember)
current MC ignores Cassius and latched onto Ain

hmmmm
