Speaking from experience, that's not how electricity works at all. You always avoid working on live wires, so you'd shut off the electricity entirely rather than just flicking a switch. Even with the switch off it's still a live wire waiting to kill you.
On top of that, who would ever do that in the middle of the night in the dark without at least taking a torch with them? You'd do it during the day so you could at least see.

Sorry, just bothered me. Rest seems pretty chill so far

What the? Why is the emergency stairs only accessed by regular staff
? Usually, even if it's locked, you can call the security guard to unlock it if the regular entrance doesn't work. Is this a cultural difference because it doesn't make sense to me either???

That doesn't sound safe at all. Why are only regular staff allowed access to the emergency exit? I n the case of an actual emergency wouldn't you want everyone to safely exit the building?!
