The material culture that the manga appreciates and lavishes so much is truly beautiful!
It's a bit sad to see people being forced into specific paths and roles determined by birth, but hey, even in America and Europe that is still true today, some just don't recognize the forces keeping it so.
Even then, the survival and continuation of an art, a style, an identity, through those that come after you has always been pivotal for societies. And without other means of recording such culture, and having use, it is a family heritage. Which has its beauty in its needs.
But damn, when are the dudes gonna do some work? They aren't baking the bread, they ain't hunting, they ain't weaving. Go do something you lazy bones!
