What a beauty, the protagonist has only done good things so as to be considered a saint by her people and the prince just wants to kill her.
I find it ironic that the prince admires her.
@Fran1212 I don't get why so many people are talking trash about the prince. It you look at from his point of view he's many a sacrifice here. He could find a girl he like, fall in love and get married. But he was willing to give up on that for his Kingdom. He hasn't even meet the princess ( our mc). He doesn't even know what she's like or what she looks like for all he knows she could even hate him or want him dead. I mean they are enemies. But he is still willing to take that risk.
@Pen3 why are you comparing this to solo leveling. That's an entirely different genre. I love it and its really good. It's more popular because there are more people who read fantasy than romance and it has more chapters.
If you're going to compare then do it with similar shoujo genre like 'who made me a princess', 'lady baby', 'doctor elise' or heck compare it with 'Beatrice'(for the record the ML in that is the definition of an asshole)
Finally some background to her circumstances. I still wonder what the prince would have done to her three years ago, if he would have had found out that she was that one maid? Surely he would have killed her back then even though he talks like this right now.
Duh our MC is OP and excels in anything 😌 it won't be easy to kill her.
But when Morina demonstrates her powers like this, isn't she just literally asking for attention? Lol
@givemersspls
I interpreted that scene completely differently. Right before it was the scene of her dying mother telling her that it doesn’t matter what she becomes in the future (like a princess or a maid for instance) but to become a kind person. Then she takes care of the dying prisoner who wants to pray for her out of gratitude for her kindness. Only after listening to her selfless wish, does he say god would like to make her wish come true and prays for god to grant her wish. The common theme here is kindness, not royal blood. If she were a cold and selfish person would the prisoner have prayed for her? Would she have been granted a wish solely for having royal blood?
@Thifa @toebutter @Rover
The start was good, but then it becomes stale because its dungeon clearing over and over again without any character development. It has RPG elements, but for some reason it only applies to the MC, which makes it impossible to gauge anyone's power level. After a 1/4 of the story, the Hunter or Guild organization becomes nothing, they just become peasants for MC to rescue, from there on they just sit back and watch MC defeat everything. The biggest problem is the MC, he has absolutely no personality, we don't know why he does things, were supposed to think"yes, he would do that because we know what kind of character he is", but no, we dont know, it just happens. We learn his goal is to save his mom, but she is never brought up ever again, just like most of the side characters, including the royal demon girl he saves by killing the demon king. There was so much potential if he would just interact with other characters, but no, he barely even interact with his own sister. Its literally an MC with no personality and a bunch of afk bots.
Later in the story they add anti-japan politics and the ending is one of the worst i have ever seen
He travels back in time after beating the 8 final bosses, just because he wasn't satisfied with his performance and risking everyone's lives all over again. Mind you he can only travel back once.
It is pretty much an MMORPG but IRL. Everyone else doesn't compare to MC because he's not like the others. That's why him being "The Player" gets brought up repeatedly. And from the get-go, MC himself already kinda thought he's probably going to be an "avatar" for something which is why The System always tries to make get him stronger. The lack of personality is kinda explained by his circumstances. He's pretty much just grinding dungeons to earn as much money as he can to support his family. He was the pretty much the weakest hunter ever. To get a glimpse of his personality, he'd have to be exposed to different scenarios but MC chose the dangerous repetitive grind of dungeons to make a quick buck ASAP. He didn't have the luxury to do anything else. If you did that in a game, you're as good as a bot, and that's what he did. If you read the novel, you'd understand all this, really.
The mom does get brought back up into the story; soon in the webtoon.
The demon girl, Esil I think, already served her purpose so there's no need to keep her in the story.
Only thing I agree with you is the ending. It was absolute shit. Then again, I couldn't finish reading the english translation coz the crappy formatting and terrible grammar just annoyed me so much, I could no longer immerse myself in the story.
I mean, it's definitely not perfect but I found it enjoyable. Also definitely better than A Capable Maid lol. I only read this title coz it is somewhat interesting despite the fact that the MC is stupid OP with her abilities almost right from the start. She also has had little struggle. I mean, she keeps recalling the time that she was mistreated in the Cloyan Kingdom as a princess but it's not really being portrayed in a way that the readers would really hurt from seeing her struggle. Plus, all the other stuff @givemersspls said.
@7Lotus
i do agree with most of your points, but a small correction: this is also a fantasy, as much as the tag isn't present. i guess you meant "action" (i didnt read solo leveling, but from searches it seems like such)
@Pen3 i think about your talking about personality and etc it's just not happen yet, u know how long manhwa usually right? i think future development will get better
I find it incredibly amusing that she is slowly being given to fulfill the hype of her people as the story goes on. I feel it'd only a matter of time before her deeds start getting attributed to who she was.
@Pen3 your not talking about this story are you? A capable maid? Please be mindful of where you talk about other stories. If you're going to talk about another story in the comments section of story, please make it clear which one you are talking about. You almost gave me the wrong impression... and I'm still confused which you are talking about!
