I still stand by what I said. Even if her family was so messed up. That even God intervened. It's just so immoral and not right for him to be the love interest. He's also just not a good-sounding guy. Marriage or death? Even when he inevitably falls for her. It won't change the fact that he is willing to kill for this. Only wanting her to repress rebellion and gain support.

I'd love a story like that though. Where we have a couple of normal chapters like this. Then the guy does end up killing the MC. Thinking this will end any rebellion or hatred. Instead sparks a wide revolution. Where the guy put his entire kingdom in danger. I just imagine Marie up in heaven, eating popcorn with god; while all of this goes down also.
