We were discussing our two interpretations of the manga, in regards to Uzura's character, after reading through it. When Dortex read the raws, it turned out to be a lot more psycho than expected.

I actually liked Uzura's character better in your TL because at least she was a friend despite being a psycho, but the original text actually reads a lot worse.

Speaking of the kitten, it might be worth pointing out that Seko rescuing the kitten is an allegory for Uzura befriending Seko. I didn't pick up on the double layer of meaning in everything Uzura
(and the veterinarian) says in that scene until the second read-through.
