I keep hearing this advice but do people really make a fist with thumb tucked inside?

@tikibo It is one of the first lessons you learn in any martial arts that utilizes fists. It is something people often do when young, and continue doing if not corrected. Personally, I used to tuck my thumb when I was still in first grade.

I thought the thumb trick was common knowledge? Maybe it's because I learned it through playing volleyball.

Was thinking he going to said those stuff about holding something solid in hand, like bunch of coins to reinforce them or something about just run to more populated places. This feel so simple it sounds less like author ran out of idea and more like editor/publisher veto the actual fight advice & they have to settle with this.
