@AugustusR But the part that they said the parents dont know about his son being genderswapped is not really realistic since parents still would contact their kids like at least every week, and it has been quite a while since he actually genderswapped.
Honestly parents going overseas is a pretty common plot device for this kind of purpose. I find it more realistic if a kid aiming for a certain school thats really far from the parents house so they just rent house alone or living in dorm with friends from same school. Honestly only speaking from my experience cause I only remember like maybe one friend who has working overseas parents. I mean I'm not japanese, but I don't think its really that common in there either to have every manga series have a character that has parents working overseas.

Coming back for like the fourth time... Doesn't Yasuda's mom have a completely different design in that "family meeting" panel than she did back in the underwear chapter? (Ch6, p15) She must have had a makeover before going abroad.
