Hmm, I guess it's a good enough start...
Something still doesn't sit right with me. I like the general idea of it, and I'm a big fan of city management / civ builder types of stories, but I'd rather have the MC solve it with their own ingenuity, perhaps with a bit of our modern world knowledge. I adore the process of finding good people to help you out, of implementing innovative strategies and outsmarting your competition.

But here, the heroine has like the most powerful arcane artifact in existence? She can cast any magic, record any knowledge, and probably duplicate items, too. The "Wrath" grimoire most likely boasts ultimate offensive capability, and the "Greed" one should solve all financial difficulties for her. No appropriate "cost" was shown to accompany the use of the grimoire, at least not to our knowledge, so it must be as easy as flicking her fingers.

And if it's so overpowered indeed, it feels like there's no real need to go through this "I need to prove myself" hassle, all risks are trivialized, and any possible tension pales in the face of this overwhelming cheat.
I'd love to be mistaken, but...
We'll see I suppose.

was it ever stated she was a reincarnator? I thought she was just a unappreciated, talented individual with a powerful item, which means she has no understanding of our "modern world"

and what do you mean there is no real reason to prove herself...she's deliberately lied or kept the truth of what it does away from everyone, and has only confessed to her closest confidant on 4/7 of the grimoires, nobody knows but if she does anything suspicious with the grimoire, she cant go back to the kingdom as she is a traitor nor can she expect the empire to let a liar do what they want since her loyalty and ability to tell them the truth are tied together

Thank you for translations! Started off pretty well. Also nice to see they didn't start with something like a hundred thousand gold coins loan :pacman:

I understand your point, but she's not reincarnated. Neither of the two chapters mention anything about her having any modern knowledge. Also, I don't think the "I need to prove myself" hassle is trivial in this case. She's defecting to a country that doesn't seem to have the most favorable view of her homeland. She needs to convince government that they can trust her for her plan to become effective. It's true that she could probably just bulldoze her home country down without any help, but what about after that? Other countries are going to see that and see her as a potential hazard that needs eliminating. It's better to ally with another country, gain trust, bulldoze, and then retire in the ally country.

To be fair, I didn't imply she was. Whether this particular MC is a transgressor or not, it doesn't really matter for me. It's that I don't mind seeing heroines who use modern knowledge and/or marketing strategies (Ascendance of a Bookworm, What’s Wrong with Being the Villainess?), or are simply ingenious enough to come up with them on their own, perhaps not without some future insight (Shadow Queen).

The only thing that bothers me is her overwhelming cheat power that personally makes it hard to really cheer for her. There's no real risk if she has the ultimate power of creation and destruction at her disposal at all time.

do we know that she has that type of power recorded in her grimoire? i dont know if it was said in the first few panels of chapter one because i skipped up to the part where she gets falsely accused by the prince, i skeppied because every story i read like this always starts the same way, girl was born as noble and taught to be a person worthy for the prince and then thrown away

But how are you commenting on the chapter if you haven't really read it @_@
No wonder my arguments seem nonsensical to you, haha, I must've looked like a crazy person rambling about some made-up shit. Damn, I feel like such a loser...

But yeah, in fact we do know that. It says so in Chapter one, pages 27-29.
I'll type it out if you aren't particularly interested in reading the chapter: just ONE of her seven grimoires, Grimoire of Beelzebub, the Grimoire of Gluttony, possesses the ability to record all magic for her to reproduce at any given point. "Under normal circumstances, you can't use elemental magic that you aren't compatible with. Therefore, despite only being compatible with the element of Water, if I use the sacred artifact <...> I can use Earth magic. The same applies to the Dark magic "Hypnosis" I used on the guard."

That's one of the seven "aspects" of her artifact, full and free access to all spells she had encountered at least once (my conjecture, maybe it's straight up "all magic", period), no matter their element or degree of complexity. And I'd bet the other six have comparably OP effects, too.

oh, i thought you meant the other grimiores, not the beelzebub one, im pretty sure it's unlikely for her to have seen magic of that scale unless she met a god or sum crap, i only skipped the beggining of chapter 1 like upto the part where she was falsely accused by the prince because that's usually when villainess mangas get to their main thing

but seeing as how the grimiore names are based of the seven princes of hell and maybe the seven sins too she might have a power like that you mentioned in the previous comment

We don't know the limit and the price of using them, so maybe there's a reason as to why she didn't just do that?

For example, the Grimoire of Beelzebub which can reproduce any recorded magic at anytime. Perhaps it can only reproduce the recorded magic once? If she recorded three Water Ball magic that was cast by three different people, then she can only reproduce Water Ball magic thrice, each with the exact same quality as the original caster.

Thank you for translating this!
I actually love that she is not transmigrated/reincarnated as it is already so overused. Hard to surprise. But the narrative is a little sped up, I'm curious if it is the same in the novel (if it's based on the novel)?🤔

So I saw the RAW of this series recently.
It seems there's certainly price for using them, though it's nothing she's not willing to pay.

For example in a recent chapter she caught the 'knight' of the groupies that exiled her and put a curse on him.
The cost left a mark/wound on her hand that remained until

The curse activate and the knight start murdering pretty much everyone in sight.

The first victim is his own little sister, straight up chop off her head.
He then proceed to kill more people in the residence then move on to strangers on the street.

After a while he recover his sanity, then immediately get arrested and soon sentenced to execution.

Right before death he finally regain memories of her cursing him and tried to shout out warnings, but it was drown out by the voice of people calling for his death at execution ground.

After he dies the mark of the grimoire usage disappeared from her (which let her know he's dead)

It disappeared? Then that's not a cost. That's just a "beacon" mark signifying that the spell was still active.
