Trans people exist, so you shouldn't just assume pregnant = woman all the time. There are situations where it'd be good to check, but it's still usually invasive to pry about a stranger's gender even if they're not pregnant, yeah. It's also still a bit bad of people to assume the wife in this is a man because of her appearance, but then that is her chosen presentation
