The R18 is non Canon, so the reasoning there could be different than here.It really happened? How do I put it, hinata is a special girl in this series, Honestly I want her to remain what she is, The author keeps giving red vibe to hinata so I'm sure that Hinata's backstory will be discussed soon and I hope that the resolution of the conflict will return her to the kind nature she used to be
I suspect that her "underwhelming" reaction to positive behavior from males has earned her scathing remarks in the past that damaged her self-esteem. Either that, or she once used to be much like the other girls, but an incident where such ultra-horny behavior led to (from her view) irreparable harm to her relationship with her brother or some other male she was close to horrified her so much that she actively suppresses that facet of her.But whats her deal ? The very first scenes of her was her being normal, now they give us hints that she is acctually a "bad girl" ? Any infos what she means with that ? I only saw a comment which mentioned she might look down on herself, thinking she is not worthy or attractive for MC.
Considering she mentions being envious of Sou's mother caring about her kids, I suspect her own mother doesn't think much of her. For a kid, being blatantly unloved by their mother would make it very difficult to have healthy self esteem.I suspect that her "underwhelming" reaction to positive behavior from males has earned her scathing remarks in the past that damaged her self-esteem. he's like moses in this chapters but instead of parting the sea, he made them flood like niagra falls instead.Sou really killed them all in this chapter![]()
It would be in a world that had what we consider common sensesou introduction kinda cringey ngl
Self-deprecating talk isn't exclusive of being yandere. In fact, distorted, depressed thinking like that is just par for the course for a mentally and emotionally disturbed yandere. The take-away that "Hinata is Yandere now" was not really even reading what she was thinking, IMO, and was something commonly seen in the comments on that chapter, just assuming that's what it was. Without the over-exaggerated font, re-read what she was thinking, and tell me if it comes across as Yandere to you:
"Aah... F-for a second I thought Sou-kun had given up on me too...
I was shocked for a moment, thinking that I was "out of place" again...
Sou-kun was[sic] special to me. He was[sic] different from everyone I've met so far...
I guess I just got carried away."
Sure, she said, "Were you not happy that I was your friend? Right, it's because I'm different from other girls." before, during the misunderstanding about him wanting her to introduce him to her friends, but that's just self-deprecating talk, not her being yandere.
