I love how nonsense the author can be writing the personality of the girls, their are definitely the "main character" of the story (with sou being a plot device for them).

This would have been a interesting anime adaptation, hearing the voice actresses spouting all this nonsense would definitely have been an entertaining experience.

This is honestly where harem manga shines best to me, when the mc isn't even just a self insert but a narrative device used to help make the female characters personality shine.
