I was working on a translation, but couldn’t be bothered. The number of fixes DLSite wanted was big, I had spent hours and hours on it in their frustrating as hell editor and they wouldn’t let me correct anything after I submitted, even though “always use punctuation“ doesn’t need to be said over and over… Don’t NAG me! Just let me to another pass!
There’s a completed official one, but it’s kinda literal, from what I read. No one does idiomatic translations anymore…
People don’t use “embrace” that way in English! We have terms for that! Lots and lots of them. Look at the situation and choose one that fits. Sometimes one is better than another. Just an example. I take linguistics seriously, and I LOVE that side story. Don’t know why it’s got the non-linear framing. I guess it works.
