It's a tiresome trope I wish they'd just discard already. I don't know for sure when it even started, but even Dragonball wasted whole episodes having characters go "UUUWOOOOOOHHH!!!", build up their energy, and bulge out their muscles. -_-;

Come the fuck on. Imagine if Marvel released the latest Loki episode and it was a 30 second fight scene with one or two spoken words and said "here's your latest chapter. Wait 3-4 months for the next 30 seconds!" How do manga/web novel authors get away with a 14 page/paragraph release and say "there's a whole chapter, see you in a month!"
