Well the anime been adapting exclusively the LN, so is doing a decent job at that, but if people were expecting it to adapt the manga, then yeah, anime going to end up passing the manga too since is a 24 eps

Of course 95% of people are going to be expecting it to be closer to the manga since most aren’t going to bother reading a LN.

And are the manga and LN really THIS different? Because the anime has been cutting and changing A TON of things from manga, to the point that it almost feels like a different story at some points.

It feels like the anime is straight up telling a different story at points. I haven’t read the LN, I only have the manga to compare it to, but going by the manga, they’ve cut out and changed SO much stuff. And like you mentioned, they’ve bizarrely removed basically all the romantic encounters between Yuke and the girls.

Yes, they really are that different, manga added alot of backstory and additional stuff compared to how lacking the LN is, like take into account that it took nearly 90 chapters for the manga to finish LN Volume 1 (technically volume end at midway 82 then is mostly manga fluff to start volume 2 at 92, as an example)

I really wish they use the uncensored version of the Manga instead of the censored versions! Especially the heavy ecchi ones!

Likely because the LN have the most content right now with 5 Volumes, at the pace anime is going of 8 episodes per volume (unless they adapt this manga exclusive onsen arc lol), is likely going to adapt 3 volumes, which is 1 volume ahead of the manga is currently at 125, it may seem rushed, but thats more episodes per volume than alot of these Anime-LN adaptations usually get in a 12 episodes season (usually 4 eps per volume if they feel generous), thankfully this isn't a 12 eps, so it didn't get that treatment

The Novel is lacking yes, but it still sells and get reprinted, and is mostly the reason the author kept writing it after it did the fake ending at Volume 3, ngl i like the manga more in some parts because it added context, but it dragged out too and added questionable stuff

On the other hand, this is likely going to be an issue with the Old Country Bumpkin Master Swordman anime too, the mangaka said that the anime is going to be based on the LN, and the manga improved the lacking LN alot

Then, mix the content from both. They don't have to exclusively follow the manga or the LN. They could easily have used the deeper development from the manga in these earlier chapters, then stuck closer to the LN once they got further away from where the manga is.

Again, they have 24 episodes. They absolutely have the time to flesh things out more. If they had stuck closer to manga, it's not like they'd be that much farther behind episode-wise from where they're currently at.

The revenge was already done to Simon anyway so I guess the main premise is literally over. I also see no hope for anime season 2, unless they make a different story where Yuke will confront the immortal Simon on regular basis, contrary to the othee adaptation where he's put to rest forever early on.

Yeah this is sadly a bit to real. So many dismiss it entirely if the victim is male.
