As the whole thing was being broadcast from the start, evident by a gopro floating back in page 4, it means everyone would hear the whole thing. So a party leader lashing out against some racist fuck abusing their party member would usually garner a lot of support. There's no scandal to be had (unless this was some backwater world). Now if the video was to be cut, you could easily have Yoke be made out as the wrong one, but that's not the case either. So IMO the whole premise of this chapter is nonsensical.
