I don't see how the last page might imply he gets a last laugh. The probably next chapter title says to me he'll try one more time to prove he's the protagonist, but fall flat on his face. Just before one of those Orcs squashes his head into compost. It'll be far more screen time than what he deserves.

Basically, after the fall, they just use an item that totally hide their presence and make them invisible. So the orc only attack the ex-member group. The woman was taken and raped, the guys were eaten.

That's so unsatisfying. The author could have made it even more socially disruptive by adding gay orcs to that scene. And it would be been just desserts for these two after threatening the girls.
