That scenario was to get my point across, and I'm a little appalled at how some of these guys are treating the group that gave them 38 well translated free chapters. Don't bite the hand that feeds you.

It’s a well known fact a lot of readers don’t appreciate the effort people put into their scanlation. Like some comments down below said, wait till this break out and neither this sniper or Meraki continue, guess who’s gonna suffer :^)

On the bright side, 1. This sniper is pretty stupid, releasing a future chapter while past chapters are locked. If their intention is to troll Meraki, I doubt they achieve much from doing this. Even the people who don’t care about this whole drama would still have to visit the past chapters on Meraki’s website to read before reading this. Normally people would wait for it to be on MD, but doing this is basically free encouragement for people to visit Meraki’s website even more LOL

2. Chapter didn’t even reach the same number of views of the chapters before Meraki implemented the delay on MD. Pretty clear that most do prefer Meraki’s consistent schedule and quality.

Keep up the good work, let these snipers waste their time.

@ThreeStepsToNothing It's most likely someone from another group since all the accounts are new, or a butthurt translator that recently left meraki.
Either way quality is overall subpar. Meraki provides a much better overall experience.

They merged the raws which are split by panels to load faster on mobiles and slower connections into big pages meaning they had prior scanlation knowledge of a group that uses those same softwares to merge.

They used scanlation fonts which by itself isn't that big of a deal but when you add it all together it makes sense.

They used actual manga terms, and in comments in forums knew about every single monetary way of earning while scanlating and used it to try to prove it wasn't a snipe (which was wrong)

They sniped this series in specific.

Meraki itself has caused a lot of people to be upset by how honest and upfront they are about their beliefs. This includes certain translators who left while being upset due to overall retarded reasons such as jelously of other of their series which got released more often, and other stuff like that

Just recently meraki was involved in taking down a big group called trash scans which may not be involved but gives reason to doubt (that trash scans group was lying and claiming to have licenses amongst other stuff in order to steal series from other scanlators and threaten said groups)

They also made sure to include that said "out of boredom excuse" to try to get people to not connect him to any group

All the sniper's accounts are brand new, made yesterday (reddit and mangadex) meaning they're obviously alt accounts (what could someone "doing it out of boredom" be hiding...)

Here's why it's not a guy doing it "out of boredom"

the moment I saw this chapter the first thing I did was go to meraki web page and see if was up there already lol, I haven't look at it do just came to the coments seen that there were over 100 already to see what was up but meraki is a group I say it's work support and stay loyal to.

@Lenk the thing is, I'm pretty sure the sniper worked on this chapter ahead of time, aka while meraki was working on for example 37-38 the past 3 days, this sniper was working on chapter 39 ahead of time, that's why context in some parts is weird.
Regardless supporting meraki, I totally agree, they release fast, quality, consistently, that's why I gave them this series to begin with when I disbanded my group.
I'd love to see this sniper try to release quality chapters as fast as meraki actually daily and not his "pretend" fast chapter after meraki released chapter 38.

@Mitsuboshi Thats obviously just an excuse. You'll know if you read what I said before.

The simple fact he used all brand new alt accounts shows me that regardless of everything else like his knowledge of platforms which he accidentally showed when talking about why it wasn't a snipe amongst other stuff like the fact he merged each 5-8 pages into 1 to keep it more consistent for single page readers which is something even veteran groups don't do in webtoons.

That shows me this person is from a scanlation group, but the fact the editing is subpar to say the least also shows they weren't an editor but only a translator since they know what they should do in typesetting but don't know how to execute it properly.

Either way it's okay, just overall interesting.
It's okay because meraki will consistently keep releasing daily and the sniper won't be able to keep up unless they skip chapters and even then the quality is lacking.

It's a really interesting situation of a butthurt translator from some group trying to get revenge for something meraki did that they didn't like.
