I meant that there's no specific mention of an isekai character within the pages of the story itself, my dude. That's what I was getting at; sorry for the confusion. We can assume that the crafty-fighty boi is our isekai character, but we're not 100% sure as of the moment.
There's not much information given to us yet as to what our protagonists' backgrounds are, why they're making a cave kingdom-thingy, etc. I guess us readers were thrown into the story before given much explanation of what's going on and who these characters are. We can make assumptions now, but until written in stone, our speculations are about as fact as feathers are heavy.

But then again... the first chapter is usually the longest...

Isekai is literally in the title. Just because they didn’t lead with the details doesn’t make it not so, and it’s not even the first Isekai to do that (off the top of my head the TenKen manga left those details till the second chapter, and the Youjo Senki anime did the same)
