It's been a hot minute since I read this, so forgive me if I'm scant on detail.

I remember that the fmc is a badass knight. It's excessively belabored that a physically strong woman capable of violence and leadership is unlovable and not feminine.

The story is written to aim for gap moe when the one guy who sees her as cute flirts with her and she turns melty.

I take issue with the sexist premise that a physically strong (... etc) woman is not feminine sexy or desirable.

Enjoyed the hell out of it until the male lead's stupid unfunny power up method came into play.

Female knight enjoyers don't get shit without it turning stupid or just being a pointless setup for rape jokes and masochism jokes. I can't wrap my head around how this story has an 8 rating. Its not awful but about halfway through i started skipping chapters that didn't have both MC and FMC in it. There isn't a single side character that has any relevance at all towards the plot until towards the very end, when a couple characters whose names i didnt bother to remember, were pushing FMC through what can only be described as FANTASTICAL amounts of idiocy.

Every side female character only exists to drool over MC, which of course isn't uncommon in things like harem, but this story has no harem plot despite having the tag. The MC repeatedly states (almost annoyingly often), that he only has eyes for FMC and denies any approach by the girls. Him refusing is fine, but then why do all these side characters exist? This is the biggest display of failing the Bechdel Test ive seen in ages.

This story could have been so much better if 80% of the side characters didnt exist and the pacing was cut to maybe a 3rd of its length.

I'll at least say that almost all of the cute and funny moments between MC and FMC were enjoyable. My frustration comes from how often the author decided to introduce another girl who falls in love with MC for a paper thin reason, or how often romantic moments between MC and FMC get interrupted purposelessly.

in my opinion, this was one of the best mangas i’ve read and i’m so glad i finished it. if the author could i would love to see a spin off version of it where it’s a slice of life now and we can read more into the storyline about how leo and fooly live and build a little happy family together with a couple love scenes along with the other characters interacting throughout the story again. in my opinion this story was really well written and deserves more recognition.
