I feel kind of sorry for Sophie. I know she wants her friend to find love, but Sophie seems pretty lonely too. It really sucks that it was her brother trying to rape Ellen too.
Noah is also at fault for some of the way Ellen was treated. He was the witch from 40 years ago, and apparently, he really was murdering people. So what he did 40 years ago contributed to the rumors that got pinned to Ellen. Heck, the first thing he did after waking up was try to kill her.
The weird thing is, in other flashbacks, when they talked about the witch from 40 years ago covering its mouth when it smiled, they showed the silhouette of a woman
