anyways ill be keeping an eye on this one cause the premise seems solid and not an isekai so its already a win in my book

Its not nit picking when even with a second to think it doesn't make much sense.

Sure it's chapter one so I would hope the world building is thought out amd explained better but as it stands theres elements that don't jive with what is being told/shown.

Unless every single person in the kingdom at least can use enough offensive magic, weapons are still a must for defense, especially since it seems very dangerous monsters are still about.

Or what about hunting? Slaughtering and processing live stock? You would need specific magic for the tasks and nothing suggests that everyone shares en masse the same set of magic spells. Not to mention unless you wanted to damage your land and property, that would require specific, intricate and high precision spell work.

im not saying you can't hand wave some things by just saying "it's magic" but the magic fad sounds so recent despite weapons being called antiques that it's just confusing.

Even fantasy worlds have some ties to reality, especially when it comes to class and economy.

the monsters seems to be "sealed" underground, most people doesn’t seems to know they still exists
Also "we need weapons in time of peace" isn’t an universally shared opinion. Military may still command some weapons, but it’s not impossible the public needs them way less.

"Weapons are useless junk" is a bit hyperbolic, but it does a fine job as explaining what are the protagonist needs and frustrations.

Why would I cry to the author. It's a very immature leap in logic. It's not a matter of expectations it's a matter of if the story is well crafted.

If I wasn't invested at all I wouldn't be thinking like this or sticking around to see how the story progresses.

In this case so far it's more a matter to taste.
