How do you work on such a project, even improving the design, but don't notice what it actually is? It'd make sense if she actually knew and made subtle adjustments so it can't be used for evil.

She knows it is a weapon, she probably just thinks it is just another weapon, because that's what Dwarfs do. from what we've seen, it is likely that getting out of the Abandoned involve fighting, so it is reasonable for her to think they will just use the weapon just for escaping.

I get that he used her to finished the Project and told her the truth when its done, but yeah as everyone said he was sincere meaning he was feeling guilty that he involved his niece in his revenge. He still have a bit of conscience in him, he still have a lil bit of good inside of him.

I can't find myself feeling upset about him wanting to wipe out humanity. We did just get through seeing humans being tortured, but i know we're going to see some very evil humans soon.

They were imprisoned for providing weapons to actual evil demons so this dwarf wants to respond by starting racial genocide.

Something screwed up with the timelines here. The dwarves were cast into Abandoned 1000 years ago? That means Carrie's parents are 1000 years old? Or did they only leave Abandoned recently?

Also, there's probably something more to Bombu's "betrayal" that his brother isn't telling Carrie...

I don't think time is flowing the way it should here. So 1000 years can translate to anything in Abandoned. Months, years, weeks maybe.

Time might flow at different rates in each world. However I don't think it would be that weird for her parents to live that long, being an elf and a dwarf.

Ok, dwarves made excellent weapons for the demons to kill humans with. But it was kinda extreme to exile a whole damn race to Hell, just because they did what they do best: forging.

Humanity was just pissy they didn't get to the dwarves first and just wanted to restore its ego.

I can respect both sides of that conflict. If I was her I would say I can't support him but I'd stay out of the way. However as a human I would defend my race.

No, it's not at all. Anything racially involved does not automatically equal Hitler. This is a 3rd graders understanding of politics.

Humanity was right in casting them away since they worked for the enemy and could still be partially allied (what does humanity know and why risk it, y'know?) but since the dwarves were collaborators under threat their resentment is inevitable. Not casting away the dwarves would be stupid for humanity to do going by base assumptions. The dwarves could however use their power to reassert their sovereign status after some conflict or maybe even just by threat of it when they escape. Ultimately the racial grudge would remain because it's too great a risk attempting peace off the bat to either side.

Ultimately though fall back on the rule. "When in doubt, blame the elves." The elves are always at fault, like with cyclists.

We literally just saw the demons torturing and killing a bunch of people very ethusiastically.
What do you think would happen when you found out an entire race of people was providing weapons for said evil demons? The human side of things is suspiscious but I don't think it was entirely unreasonable for humanity to be very pissed at the Dwarves helping the demons.
Considering they weren't just outright massacred and sent into a prison world, I argue they got off lightly.

You know, there is a reason why the hero, the savior of the humankind, got sealed for 1000 years in this prison world. There is also a reason for his bitter attitude, too.

For some reason, I was under the impression that she was adopted. Perhaps I was too prejudiced. Or I mixed up this series with the other one with a (short) human blacksmith working under a dwarf mastersmith who keeps creating stupidly complex and convoluted creations to show off their skills.

That said, how old is our main character? Her parents eloped 1000 years ago, it looks like.

She is a dwarf with elf blood, unless there was some wierd sanguinmancy going on i don't see how that happened unless the dwarf and elf fucked
