You know, there is a reason why the hero, the savior of the humankind, got sealed for 1000 years in this prison world. There is also a reason for his bitter attitude, too.
There is a reason why I said the human side of things is suspiscious but it is far likely that someone or a group in charge on humanity's side imprisoned the hero secretly due to his power but they did keep his hero status. My guess is the elves from all the clues I gathered so far.

No, it's not at all. Anything racially involved does not automatically equal Hitler. This is a 3rd graders understanding of politics.
Ok I was using the Austrian as an example but the logic the OC I boiled down to using is basically
"its ok not to be upset at the dwarf wanting to start war against humanity who now have zero connection to their imprisonment because there is bound to be some evil humans".
If you wanna accuse me of 3rd grade logic then fine sure I should improve.

Time might flow at different rates in each world. However I don't think it would be that weird for her parents to live that long, being an elf and a dwarf.

Also even if there is more to the betrayal. Hot elf.
Elves and dwarves are supposed to long lived but it's rare to see writers making them THAT long-lived. Particularly dwarves.

Carrie doesn't act like she's hundreds of years old either.

The funny part about this is, if i recall, the MC is in Abandon because she ran away from home after being frustrated her dad wouldn't let her make weapons.

So it might just be that the Dwarves are very good/naturally disposed to create quality weapons, but a weapon's purpose is to hurt and kill. Ergo, they simply sold their weapons to the force that would actually use them, and this led to them being glued to the demons reputation-wise.
Also keep in mind the hook of this series is that the Hero destroys any weapon he uses. Not even the MC can create a weapon that won't break for him after 1 use.

It appears that this might be a more nuanced discussion on the nature of weapons and their role in conflict. You need them to fight, be it protecting or attacking, but after a fight is done, you don't need them. So what do you do with them? You could destroy the weapon, but that destroys any craftsmanship that the weapon displays. All the effort that went into it is gone with it, and there's no proof as to the artisan's skills. You could hang up the weapon, but people will ask about it and either be worried you'll use it against them, or they'll idolize it as a symbol of strength and power. If they're worried about it, they'll worry about you, isolate you, and that would spiral into a serious problem. If they idolize it, they might associate it with "The Good Old Days" where men were men and other such nonsense. They might want to try going back to those 'Days' and whip up misplaced fervor, find a figurehead to lead them, and create an army to try and recreate the Roman Empire (again!).

Explains why the dad didn't make weapons and didn't want his daughter to either if his whole race is known as the fuckers who supplied only high quality human-killing weapons to the Demons since Forever. If anything the townsfolk ignoring her simply for selling weapons instead of immediately stoning her for being part-Dwarf says a lot about the kingdom they were living in.

Funny as hell that the dwarfs are assmad about the consequences of being loyal to the demon army means being treated to the same punishment. I don't know about the underlings but Uncle Dwarf obviously has no regrets unlike Bombu.

They should be focusing on escaping and rebuilding and establishing themselves instead of escaping and doing a racial kamikaze. If Carrie would bother explaining how easily she got sent down there maybe they would have second thoughts about ascending to cause only trouble.

Carrie herself is a fuckin idiot for deciding to help after knowing they're going to immediately start murdering humans if they succeed, AND probably her Dad because he supposedly betrayed them.

I welcome the honest reception to my criticism. I would like to add it's a bold assumption that the current humanity has no connection though. We don't know that much and in reality these things permeate through generations when it comes to military conflict and national grudge.

We don't have any real knowledge about how the humans in the real world at this moment however besides the first chapter. At best we know they prioritize magic over weapons and they still idolize the hero.

Anyone involved in the imprisonment of the current dwarves is long dead besides the elves if they were involved. Also while a grudge could be possible I highly doubt it could kept up for 1000 years. Although I will agree not impossible for a group of humans and/or elves to be involved considering how many weird things are going on.

Considering that the human hero that took down the demon king is still around for just as long, I would not be surprised by the elves and dwarves being effectively immortal. Also her parents being that old would not mean that she is.

In an early chapter she did say something about it being unlikely that the hero from 1000 years ago would still be alive. So Harold's got his own unresolved mysteries.

If abandoned is like prison of sorts for undesirables, of coarse anything that could stand a chance of getting the dwarves out would have to be a WMD. :thonk:
