Cause apparently there's no strife in the world. The hero ended the demon lord and all the monsters and everyone went swords to ploughshares
Carrie CAN use it to make weapons but it's probably an insult to her senses as a craftsman. Like using AI spitting out an image to an artist. Given her saying she hates magic, she probably tries not to use it at all.

It might be that her dad also doesn't know. Elf X dwarf is a r a r e pairing in all fantasy and her mom ain't here so hell if a non-magic race like the hero said, knows that could happen.

I mean yeah but my point was that wasn't that bow a magic weapon? A regular bow, an "antique" wouldn't be able to do that unless it's magical. Or the hero put his own magic into it.

Im still struggling to understand why in Carrie's time it seems like weapons aren't used at all. Especially if she can make magic weapons with the right materials. Sure her skill is garbage and it's gonna break but that should play into the novelty of the legend of the hero who always breaks his weapons.
