Yeah I meant at the start sorry, I've seen some TLs front load with a page making it very clear that it's MTL, which is probably the best scenario (besides not doing MTL)

There is a rule that forbids MTL's, based purely on quality having to be readable.
Alternatively, you can consider MTL like I do, where it's a term used where "Machine assisted translation" should've been used. In which case you will cover all translations with that term (well, maybe not, as the graphics program doesn't count. But my point is that afaik pretty much everyone has tools to the side to give some aid with the tl - particularly for kanji ("something something, way too many kanji to actually know all of them even after a couple years of formal education in the language something.")).

But yes, I agree that they should add a field to chapter-objects which allows the tl or users to set the quality of the chapter. Basically "[unreadable trash; bad; scuffed; minor issues; perfect]", so ppl could filter or see in ToC what quality to expect (the "perfect" would be pretty much nonexistent though, as that means someone with ridiculously deep knowledge in 2 languages + plenty of proofreaders and editing passes). Where this chapter would place somewhere on "scuffed" (this really wasn't bad enough to complain about the chapter in its entirety imo).
