This is probably my fav game in the series. Ichidai has always been my favorite rival team so I have been pumped about this for a while. I really like how low-scoring this game is, Seidou being behind even at the Top of the 8th was an interesting choice too. Could we get extra innings? Seidou would definitely have the edge there. I wonder if this will effect how much Sawamura will be able to pitch against Inashiro. Though I suppose Furuya was always going to be the smarter choice to start that game considering the mental damage Sawamura took last time they played.

@Darknessdragonhak how you can read this manga and think they will lose is mind blowing. It's a manga, in the end there's always a turn around. They lost in the Inashiro final after leading. They beat Yakushi while being behind.

The author always does turn arounds for big games. Sawamura will hold them down, maybe he will even lose a run i don't know. Next inning i think we got Kuramochi & Miyuki up to bat.

Sawamura is also batting. He's recently learnt how to do it better, even though i don't expect much, but in his current perfect ace mode i wouldn't be surprised if it's not a bunt but a hit. Amahisa is going to want to shut down Sawamura who he sees as a rival and he might make a mistake.

The game will go like this:
Sawamura will shut down 8th, 9th and 1st batter from Sankou.
Then he manages to hit Amahisa and gets to either 1st or 2nd base; Kuramochi will advance Sawamura and get to the 1st base; Haruichi will get Sawamura home (reminiscing that point they made long time ago) while advancing Kuramochi to 2nd.
Haruichi doesnt get to any base, Shirasu gets struck out, then Miyuki gets Kuramochi home.

9th inning: Seidou 2-1
Sawamura shuts down 2nd, Miyagawa and Hoshida, thus closing the Ace's duel.

This really is my favorite game as of now. Considering the funny rivalry between Sawamura and Amahisa Boy. I love how the score is low and the battle is between the 2 ace. The fact that both of them is energetic to pitch on the mound is the greatest thing on me.

@Jedimindtrix I'm thinking that because they might make Sawamura lead them to nationals again as a third year and not twice with mostly the same team. This story has a history of making me think that there is a chance that the same Seidou team might not go to nationals twice in a row. They have a thing for letting the third years go without going to nationals to make the new team want it even more, not only for themselves but for the retired third years. I'm just scared they will do it again to give like the final glory of third year Sawamura leading them to nationals. Sure it points to the result that they will turn it around last minute, but I wanted to prepare myself for the possibility that it might not happen. I'm so so sorry if me being scared about them losing, is offending you this much but kindly piss off and let me worry in peace.

Lol, no. To think about it. It's almost impossible go to the national without Miyuki. And Eijuun has bad experience with Inajitsu and impossible to for him to lose twice. It's getting boring if they're lose again anyway. And how can Eijuun can be a next Ace again in his 3rd if he's can't lead the team to nationals. Eijuun not have a so many time, Eijuun admired Miyuki a lot and he came to seidou just for Myk. Myk definitely the second MC. So without Misawa battery it's almost impossible to end Myk era just with this.

@Dey_dey @darknessdragonhak i think they will go to national with this teams but not win it, maybe 3rd or 4th place. and next year sawa mature and combi with wolfboy, including furuya combi with yui. including kanemaru, toujou, kuki, yuuki,seto,asada(as third pitcher) this will become godly team and win summer koshien.

Well at least the run wasn't failed to be secured due to his foot injury. If it had been, that would have been their big chance wasted by his own mistake.

As for Nori here, I think he still isn't allowed to pitch. But no one else knows that. What he's doing here, it's like saying, "I'm going to start warming up to finish the game once Sawamura isn't needed", and typically that would imply that the only reason they don't need their ace out is because they now aren't desperate to keep from falling further behind. So the idea that Nori can take over is one where they have caught up and they can finally allow Sawamura to rest.
