I came back like 10 months later to reread this manga and I know this happens but girl really just said "womp womp" 😭

Shima was in the wrong for ignoring Adachi's distrss, but Adachi is also in the wrong for unloading her frustrations at Shima just because she was hanging out with a different friend.

Overall they have problems they needa fix. Shimas too apathetic and Adachi is too possessive. This was a very emotional chapter and i felt for the both of them. The relationship feels like a toxic codependency I really hope they sort out their problems. 😭

Adachi saying shell change herself for Shimamura, and that "Do you hate me like my mom does?" Oh my god... I was in this exact situation before, and the sheer despair sadness and fear in this is overwhlmingly accurate. and shimamura handled it the worst way she could, Adachi is in such a painfull space right now, days aftr she say shimamura with tameki, and then not getting any call from shimamura afterwards... she must feel so betrayed.
I have gone theough something eerily similar, just a few minths ago and it changed me as a person forever, Im doing better now and have recovered, but Im here now without the person I once shed my tears to, I can only pray Shimamura and Adachi make up afterwards, Adachi deserves the world...

In later chapters, she says that she was just confused about what she was freaking out about, and that she felt like asking for clarification would make it worse.

in my mind, that gives the impression that her reply would be something from the ranges “I’m sorry, I don’t understand what you’re talking about, are you okay?” to “I’m sorry, I’m going to hang up now.”

In her mind, she is just confused about what she is saying, even if it is a pain, I feel like she would have, as a BARE MINIMUM, not have HUNG UP ON HER.

if she cares for her, even slightly, she wouldn’t listen to her friend freak out for 1-2 minutes while not understanding what she was saying, call her a pain, and promptly hang up.

When I think about Adachi, I feel like I'm listening to "Space Song". I think we can't see good things in the next chapters because Adachi would do the same weird and obsessive things. There will be a breaking point between them.
