how it goes. blaming adachi a bit more than shimamura in this exchange, but then that's on-brand with my tendency to judge myself and what i see myself in more harshly than others, so maybe they're equally in the wrong. neither knows how to be normal human, but normal human shouldn't be the only way to be. i wish we'd all communicate more straightforwardly instead of hinting and speculating and bottling stuff up

While it certainly hurts a lot, Adachi kinda needs to fall on her face here. She's way too possesive and if she behaves like this they can never have a healthy relationship. Shimamura has her own problems as well ofc, she's way too apathetic. But I hope both of them learn to trust and respect each other properly before they get into a relationship.

I get it. I've been Adachi in the past, and turned into Shimamura. No way in hell I am reading that mental breakdown ramble. Adachi needs to learn to respect Shimamura's needs and boundaries, too. Shimamura's only crime is being pretty and wanting to mind her own business.

The thing is, you dont want either of the two's behavior to come out on top

Its a good thing that adachi is freaking out, and its a good thing that shimamura hardly seemed to care about it, as it is also good that shimamura is causing adachi pain, because that'll just reflect back into shimamura in how the treat each other

Its about them both evolving, learning about their bad habits and tendencies through each other's. If one would just feed into another's vicious and bad tendencies, they would go nowhere.

Say shimamura takes Adachi's phone call to heart and never hangs out with anyone outside of Adachi's knowledge? This is the plot of like half the toxic yuris Ive read, you dont want that

But then say adachi is indifferent to shimamura's aloofness: then shimamura will never feel the need to go deeper into adachi, she'll be static in a point of comfort where she doesnt move anywhere, doesnt evolve. Cant build true connections with people and will always be stuck in her own mind

The fact their bad traits go against each other like this is best case scenario. I love this manga so much
