This chapter says its chapter 39 but on Mangadex its 40, but also the previous chapter says its 37 while being Mangadex 39.3 (which suggests a missing chapter?), and the chapter before that says its also 37 for some reason. And looking back it seems this disconnect has been around for a while?

The legacy numbering sequences are in a confused state again. As the earlier chapters were first uploaded, the numbering on MDex interface followed the numbering of the chapters as released on the magazine/Comic walker. Later the tankoubon merged some of the multi-parts chapters into ones and numbered them anew (especially from vol 05), and Cuetie Scans edited the uploads to follow the tankoubon's numbering, but left the numbering sequence on MDex interface unedited, likely to avoid unnecessary mucking up the system, and they maintain that sequence of number on chapters' first pages for chapters that are not yet collected in tankoubon (currently vol06 onwards) mostly though educated guesses, and all that numbering likely will be edited again following the tankoubon. Throwing in Comic walker aka official raw lately also changed their numbering in an attempt to follow the tankoubon, and Dynasty where Cuetie Scans are sometimes quicker to adjust their uploads than on MDex, and the numbers displayed get all over the place. edit for clarification: There is no missing chapter.

As of now (09:50-ish UTC+2, 25.08.24) ch39.3 MDex has the first scanlated page say 'ch37' same as ch39.2 MDex despite their sequence of 4-5 recent chapters, following which would make that same chapter 'ch38'; ch40.1 MDex has the scanlated first page on MDex say 'ch39' but on Dynasty it says 'ch38'. I don't have access to Comic Walker outside of the free access to latest 4 chapters, but notably all 4 of them are sequels of ch40.1 MDex but their current numbering on Comic Walker are 38.1, 38.2, 39.1 and 39.2. It's a mess.
