Shimamura being pro active in the relationship is a great moment for her character development. But she underestimated how much of a girl failure Adachi is.

Her mom being a hoot is great as well.

Feel bad for Tarumi but unfortunately that’s what it means committing yourself to someone. You won’t have as much time for others since you chose to value someone more. Especially if that person is someone as needy and delicate as Adachi lol. Still, I’m glad to see Shimamura growing fond of her despite these things.

Tbh I really relate to Shimamura. I think the reason I didn't get it when people here say she's a psychopath, is a red flag or has big issues is because my thought process is pretty close to hers. After all, it's pretty difficult to regard something so similar to oneself as being wrong or abnormal.

Based. They are both so dysfunctional, and yet so cute together. The only person losing in this situation is Tarumi. I hope she can get over it and find someone else.

Their cute, dysfunctional relationship was perfectly exemplified when Adachi only showed 2 Okonomiyaki and Shimamura was like "That's a normal amount, where's the rest?" and then when Adachi unpacked the rest, it was the "Aha, there they are" moment. She knows exactly what to expect from Adachi.

ADACHI TO SHIMAMURA STOCKS ARE THROUGH THE ROOF RIGHT NOW

We went from awkward awkwardness (with some occasional cuteness) to full on, constant, awkward cuteness (the best kind).

Beyond that, I have two thoughts:
-A super clingy gf is only a (major) problem if you don't want a super clingy gf. Shimamura is the kind of person who puts up a barrier, so only clingy people can get through and she now really appreciates Adachi's (insane) love for her, despite the occasional issue (but she's already a master at handling Adachi).
-I never see anybody saying it, but Shimamura's mom is pretty cute too. I hope we get to see her reaction to their relationship, cause I think she'll be 100% supportive.

Honestly I love how Shimamura completely understands Adachi, like on a core level, from the "where are the rest of the okonomiyaki" to knowing she's eavesdropping, but most importantly she knows why Adachi is being clingy and jealous, because she's insecure. So little phrases like "you should have more confidence" and "you are the only one I will do things like this with" hit right at the heart of Adachi's clinginess, which in my opinion will eventually get through to her, and wash out some of those red flags to become a more mild pink.

Idk why but that specific line "OH COME ON" give off such perfect description about their unique dynamic

Shima KNOWS knows Adachi, but more important is that, she likes to play with it like a game.
She doesn't want to hear Adachi crumbling through the phone, but she would love to see it face to face.
She enjoys the fact that Adachi is a jealous person, but she doesn't like to see Adachi being like it in front of her.

It describes Shima's unique personality perfectly, and also shows that she subconsciously cares about Adachi more than she ever thought.

Never 🔥🔥🔥 she's perfect just the way she is

But seriously though, you gotta read it carefully to see that she did try to change, and is still trying to change. Just like Shimamura, Adachi also has been reflecting a lot about her personality and feelings, which is the number one thing I love about this series.

Adachi constantly disgusted herself BUT also came to a realization that there're SOME aspects, even if she dont like it, still true to her core the most so she can hardly change those aspects, meaning those aspects are the parts that make who she is so she aint need to develop shit
And some other aspects, well like, jealousy, I can clearly see it not as absurb as that phone call chapter anymore, she did try to hold herself more, just still hard to control it

Finally, just like Shimamura, I think her genuineness and awkwardness are enjoyable and think she such a bundle of joy
