While it could have gone on longer, or dug deeper, I adored the characterization of the two leads. They were clearly depicted, had very different perceptions and attitudes after their initial meeting (downstream of disability and trauma but not entirely based on it), and had a plausible amount of depth for the situations and window of time we spent with them. And one is a total dork fighting her girlfailure history and the world. Love it. The series flows a lot cleaner than most comics but never felt formulaic or random like most works with only two important characters.
For a fairy tale, that clarity makes it a success. Clevercool met her goal. I had to edit another post calling the series sweet after the grossness but handily deafeating dark themes is fairytale too in a way. This short story may not be a masterpiece or a fave for me, it does feel nearly complete. Seal the deal with even censored couple interactions and it's as good as it'll get without lingering too long for the setup. (Not that it has finality; a story in this position can handle a second season like a whole new plotline.)
