The head of the corporation was suppose to belong to her brother but he had a fight with the father and moved out so Yui is the only child left to take responsibility of the business. The fiance is the reason Yui broke up with her ex-girlfriend and has ONS with multiple girls but never fall in love with anyone until She met Kanata.

Yui makes a bet with her father that if she can manage one branch of the company to make profit in 5 years (if I remember the number right), the engagement with the fiance will be void. After Kanata returned to Japan she was employed in the same company of Yui through coincident and Kanata became Yui's "personal assistant" 😉. Meanwhile the fiance found out about them doing gay stuffs together and blackmailed Kanata. She refused to give up Yui again and by accident the fiance push Kanata down the stairs, injured her.
