At first I thought that he's an alien... But I have a theory that senpai is actually still a real deal human, though his body is slightly modified and causing some memories lost! Or they might lost when SLC repaired/healed him somehow?

kanon is his only option to remember his lost past? idk lol and his relationship with his wife is strained because of it lololol

As far as I understand, each "repair" changes your personality a little bit. After many such operations, it's possible that he fell out of love with his wife and developed a taste for stalking dorks.
