Alright, this is better than expected, and I already thought it was interesting from a glance. Some talking points:
- 100,000 sold copies is nothing for mainstream weekly shounen magazines. Expectations are high, so they have no problems axing underperforming series.
- So both Toda and her editor just gloss over the fact that the two girls in that yuri work vaguely resemble them? Truly professionals I see.
- I'm impressed that Tanaka stands up for her artist. It is much easier to go with the flow and not displease the senior editor, especially when she herself is relatively new. But she really cares about Toda's career development.
