While I agree little bro seems quite the friend-maker type, saying he is precocious because he can easily interact with a girl is such a japanese thing to say.
A lot of people (especially mangakas apparently) fail to understand that kids have an underdevelopped/incomplete hormonal system, meaning they have little to no desire or sexual consideration. Any concept of gender they would have is merely mimicked from parents or surroundings, without really understanding them...

I agree, that is pretty great. But I wouldn't call the MC a wimp for not wanting to sleep with some lady he just met 40 minutes ago, on the couch, in front of his 11 year old brother.

Yeah...Not good mentality. His future will be downgraded while his parents made 3-4 children and he has to take both caring and material burden....
It's only acceptable if parents are dead or unable to care for their children (don't forget he also is their child, why make children if you place burden of children to your oldest?). I have nephews and god children, if their parents will disappear i will take care of them but in orderly manner. Meaning, grandparents->aunts->then me.
Being good to the point of needles self sacrifice isn't a good a virtue it's lunacy.
