This series is great. Cute but also a little thought-provoking. Glad to see another chapter. And a new less silly heroine (who I briefly confused for the other heroine because they're both called Ai/AI).

The anime ATRI that just finished airing also covered this kind of subject, an android trying to learn to make people comfortable and having various complex inner turmoils.

Edit - Just realized this is the same artist as the based manga Makina-san no Mamanaranai Hibi, with a kind of similar plot. That actually makes me have higher expectations for Makina-san...

The black-haired girl featured in this chapter is an AI from Masaki's grandma.

The sister died. They visited his sister's grave. The grandma is still alive.

"Before we go home" probably referred to his grandma's home.

They do know each other, but live separately. At the end, he returns to his home where only he and the white-haired girl (AI) live.
