I'd be "Gee, you may be right. How about you go be right about me on the street? As a shitty person, I don't feel a need to give charity to ungrateful creepy stalkers."

He does sort of have a point---people shouldn't get pets they don't know how to take care of, and if you're a fish-fancier type which I'm betting he is, that's gonna be a pet peeve. But it isn't necessarily obvious just what you need to know, and she wouldn't have bought the damn fish in the first place if he hadn't scared her to death. But above all, she didn't ask to have him freeloading on her and clearly doesn't much want it and yet she has given him a roof over his head so he can just bloody zip it. He knew there was a problem the day before, but did he offer to help? No, he just made a snide remark, useful as tits on a bull.

This is one of those things--I know the whole point of this is that he's going to have some evolution as a human being until he isn't like that any more and he's supposed to be some kind of diamond in the rough and all that shit. All I can say is it's gonna have to be awful convincing. If it isn't I'm gonna drop this like a hot turd.

She was negligent out of thoughtlessness. If Abe was a kitten or a puppy, the results would have been extremely ugly.

No one made her buy the fish. She was responsible for another life.

She seems used to others making her decisions for her or not taking accountability for her actions.

He seems used to being forced to accede to the decisions others make for him.

Misandry is this comment section is astonishing. Seeking excuses for a female that has clearly fucked up on her own and always-blame-the-male attitude ("fucking asshole", other by that purple person) is an example of straight up sexism, but of course mods won't do anything about that. Meanwhile, you can't call a character in a gay manga"gay", because reasons. How deep inside a rectum can your head disappear political correctness, hmm?

He's right that she should've researched it before buying the fish but these mistakes happen with small (presumably first time) pet owners. Not usually this deadly, but it happens.

Also its very frustrating how she hasn't called him out on literally stalking her, it's fine to want to know your cousin better but that was what made her panic buy the poor fish in the first place.

She seems like she's used to swallowing the opinions of others (Co workers insulting her physical appearance, family walking all over her, etc). Also if her parents cared that much about this boy they'd settle him into their *own* house.

Pregnancies and Labour are hard but preparations include making a pregnancy bag/plan not dedicating every hour of the day to it. Would've been more reasonable to say it'd be difficult to leave a new student in a house whuch'll soon have a (potentially colic-y) newborn crying in it.

But yeah I thought this would be sweeter than this, I'm sad. I feel bad for her. I'm sure he'll be more sympathetic as time goes on too but so far it's more just painful to read with their current dynamic.

@Probably_wont_log_in_again Awww, did the bad people hurt your snowflake fee-fees? Really, why is it that it's the supposedly anti-political-correctness, anti-caring-about-feelings, anti-enforced-civility people who always seem massively thin-skinned and want to patrol what people say? Nobody said he was bad because he was a man, or even that he was sexist. They said he was being an asshole. He was. Don't get your panties in a bunch every time someone gets criticized who happens to be male.

Youre even a greater joke than I thought you are. Learn to read if you want to address something. Great strawman, great reaction, congratulations condolences for being you. Now fuck off you narcissistic hypocrite.

he's right in that the fish was definitely stored and sold under unethical circumstances, but it should be clear to him that Aiko tried to provide for her fish to the best of her ability. Despite being told that a jar would be sufficient she went out of her way to buy and research a proper tank when she saw that the fish wasn't flourishing, this was in spite of the strain which doing so put on her finances. Her actions made it clear that she wasn't one to take life lightly and she was openly upset over the loss of her fish, which is why his berating seemed excessive and even a bit cruel. She was someone who, with proper knowledge, would've done her utmost to care for another life.

He might be right about how you should not buy a pet without knowing how to take care of it. However, his attitude and manner are questionable. Being right does not let you be rude. You can be right and polite at the same time, you know?

And the misunderstanding about him being a stalker is partially justified. He does act a little suspicious. I would be creeped out too if I live alone and a random guy that I keep seeing somehow know my name. And him having a long bang covering the eyes does not help at all.

I am not saying though that the MC is right and the guy is wrong, or vice versa. I think she should have done a better job of keeping the pet, but she should not by any means be judged a bad person just for this. The guy is right about taking responsibility, but there are other ways much more polite to convey the message. He also should not have been quick to judge. They have only been together for a short while.

You are the one who is shitty. He should be appreciated to the girl and be polite to her more.

lol a guy who lost his parents early in his life acting strange is offensive to people. The fact that he values life more than the MC who lived carefreely also offends people. Yet, the fact that the MC's mistake was completely justified? How?
