ooh, interesting it worked when she shouted for everyone in her human form , versus doing a howl to summon the dogs and then yelling as a human so the other owners could understand

rip, though that's pretty impressive for a dog, i hear cats are slightly longer in lifespan even if dogs can live a decade or so -- always surprised so many parents were willing to give like, ten year olds a puppy or so considering ppl that young don't always realize the long term committment
(altho going blind/deaf as an older dog is sad but i'd think they'd still be able to recognize scents)

weirdness of any 'romance' aside i guess it's also wish fulfillment assuming Mikan's lifespan is gonna be extended
versus her suddenly telling the family in her human form "i think i'm only gonna have a year left" or something like that

Very sad, but wait a minutes... :worry:
-"do not equating a dog to human" So she warn MC don't do it like her because it will one day end fast right.
-the end showing that that girl is Author and their dog.
- and the girl can not mistake what her have to MC and Mikan, she would know, because she is the author
-Then we need to remember what manga this is, a Yuri manga between owner x dog girl
am i overthinking this... :thonk::thonk::thonk:

My father has had a series of dogs for most of my life, and having to say goodbye is a hard thing to do every time. Each of them was a good girl, and I'm better for having known all of them.

Now, someone get that beagle a drill instructor.

Thanks for the chapter!

Torigon at least seems to be in a better headplace than the time they wrote this chap, going by how they are posting about the latest Pokemon games.

Not sure what this arc has in store for us though, if it is gonna be inspired by their experience with the death of their beloved dog.

I've talked about this subject with my friends. I asked them one of those dumbass questions you ask when drunk and huddled together. "What if you can sacrifice a few years of your life to get more years with your dog/family or love one?" and almost all of them say yes. Yes even if its your beloved pet. For me, I'd give 5 of my years just for them to live a human's life.

"she's blind and deaf, she probably can't even remember me. So do not equating a dog to human"

You heard the lady, if your family members get dementia and can no longer remember you, stop treating them like humans.

I get that the author was in a bad headspace but that was a seriously shit take.
