Japan and their obsession with romanticizing affairs .... instead of conversation, how original .

I just know some dumbo would praise it as wholesome "friendship"

So woman is battling depression, fiancé has been more of a caregiver than partner. He loves her but is disillusioned. She feels too much sorry for herself to actually understand him. After two years she still wants him to be happy for any little step she tries, and from the first chapters, she tried a lot of them.

Suddenly she meets an airhead that hasn't spent the last two years cleaning up her mess and oh, so wonderful, refreshing, I'm feeling like a woman again...

This will probably end in one of two ways:
  • she fucks the dude, dumps the boyfriend and goes on to a perfect relationship as it was her boyfriend holding her back all along.
  • she fucks the dude, dumps the boyfriend but then realizes that the dude is too good for her and goes back to the boyfriend who accepts her regardless.
Also, the boyfriend will either cheat or look like he cheats so she doesn't look too bad on the picture.

It's josei, where once again, "true love" is found with a guy with who she shares only happy and carefree moments, and the boyfriend will be framed as someone whose good intentions trapped her and controlled her.

This is what I think as i have no idea where the story is going, The starting beats are familiar though.

So in these last 25 minutes i found the raws...

So the boyfriend starts being framed as looking past her feelings, but he has tunnel vision from caring for her. He truly loves her but he got in the mind frame of "deciding what is best for her." During this time, he starts talking to the woman who owns the public baths he goes to and he ends up going to the movies with her. At the same time, his fiancé is at the movies with the other guy. Eventually he talks it out with public bath lady and says he has a girlfriend and he will stick to her. In the last chapter, he confesses that he went to the movies with the bath lady and that's why he lied about working overtime. The girlfriend apparently forgot that she did the very same thing, gets frustrated and makes a bee line to the other guy's house.
So she is pissed off because he lied about doing the exact thing she never told him she did. Probably thinking she "didn't lie" but that was also because it didn't came up. Oh well, it's josei. Woman will always be justified regardless of what she does.
