Some childhood friend you are that THE MOMENT you see someone new interacting with him, you intervene, after aaaaall this time.

Bitch, how about you support him when everyone was against him? Oh, you feel responsible for taking care of him? YOU DIDN'T CARE FOR HIM AT ALL.

I think I would intervene if someone I knew was in a potential grooming situation even if we had past baggage. It's like, you know, the right thing to do.

I really do find the subtly unsettling manner that the creatives have portrayed Saki to be quite compelling. One comparison might be the Other Mother from Coraline where the feeling you get from her is a tense one of "okay, when does the trap swing closed?", because although she doesn't have buttons for eyes, a lot of the time her face is cloaked in shadow and at certain key moments her eyes are completely obscured. You never quite know if she's looking at him with genuine parental affection or is doing her best Yuno Gasai impression.

So I think Jun's clearly already past the age where even a stepmom with perfectly pure intentions would be much of a help, and so like I said about the previous chapter; his budding sexuality is going to eventually force him to see her as a woman far more-so than a mom. Hell, even at this point in the story he can't bring himself to call her his mother without her prompting him.
Hope you guys enjoyed this chapter, but unfortunately there won't be another until after Christmas.

He disappeared on her. It's not like she was ignoring him, let alone joining in on the jeers. He didn't acknowledge her at graduation. She practically had to force him to interact with her at high school. She's scared that a grown woman could be taking advantage of his one enormous lifelong weakness in order to abuse him. She's doing all she can do under the circumstances.

I can't really say that I think she's at fault, she already did way more than anyone would've expected of her considering he wasn't even her responsibility, and it's hard to take care of someone that doesn't come to school or doesn't want to interact with you.
That she intervenes now because she suspects that he's being taken advantage of because he's in a vulnerable position is I think completely understandable. And although we don't know miss mom's true agenda, exploiting someone emotionally can be just as damaging as exploiting them sexually.

the pattern: bro is a pedophile
To be fair, this one isn’t even written by the same guy, and neither series is the kind of smut I genuinely expected them to be, like say Kodomo no Jikan or Girls I Am Your Father.
Like I actually get the sense that there’s an interesting story to tell about a touchy subject here, and neither is just a thinly veiled attempt to romanticize the author’s obvious fetish.

Calling someone a wh*re just because she intervene an ex-friend in a suspicious situation is crazy.

Why would you expect her to do everything for him? It's not her responsibility in the first place. Friendship/relationship works both way, he disappeared from school and not interact with her is also the reason why their relationship drifted apart.
But after all this time, she still do the most hard things to do in this situation, that is to take initiative to talk to MC. That alone is proof that she care for him, if she doesn't care then she won't do anything in the first place. But for now, she already did way more than she supposedly do.

My suspicion is that she's kind of emotionally damaged and in need of affection similarly as him. Could be from something as simple as that she's been doing a demanding job for 20 years without being able to have a proper relationship and miss intimacy and closeness with someone, to having lost a baby to a missed abortion or something 15 years ago that traumatized her.
Especially since she switched gears completely from wanting to undress him and make him take a shower and started doing mommy stuff instead when she found out she was underage. I think that there's some other psychological mechanisms at work here than solely being a sexual predator.

Brother, I'd say that's quite suspicious, call her a bitch all you want but intervening was the right call, that was NOT normal parent and child bonding.
