I would like to suggest the development of events in the next chapter. It will start with Akiba's virginity auction, it will last about a quarter of the chapter, maybe half. Sosuke will want to buy Akiba, but Iwabuchi won't agree. Iwabuchi will say that if Sosuke has sex with someone, he will let Akiba go. Soska will even be able to choose any girl. Sosuke will agree with Iwabuchi's proposal. After that, we'll be shown Rika, who's watching everything, and she'll have a smile on her face. The end of the chapter.

It is we (readers) who see Akiba as Sosuke's saviour. But for Rika, Akiba is a woman who tries to "steal" not only her husband, but also her daughter. Rika even hints at it to Akiba. All of the above actions of Akiba look like attempts to get closer to Sosuke, especially in Rika's eyes.

As I once said, Sosuke always chose Akiba, not Rika, in difficult situations. That is, he preferred another woman, not his wife. Do you think your wife (girlfriend) would be mad if you prioritised another woman? I think so. By the way, Rika showed her face-mask only to Akiba.

I have an idea what Rika was preparing for. This is to punish her husband's "mistress" so that Soska can see what will happen to any woman who approaches him.

The laws in Japan are different from other countries and one witness is enough. What's going to happen is called gang rape. The presence of cameras is not necessary, as there is a witness. In addition, the rape case goes through three instances and each of them can take the case to court.

• The chapter starts with the auction starting, with Iwabuchi asking who will take Akiba's virginity. As the initial prize is 50K Yen, and rising, Sousuke wonders how he can stop it, considering he will not be able to push through with raw strenght. He shouts 150K yen, to Iwabuchi's surprise;
• He comes to the conclusion that all he has to do is win the lottery. On his thoughts, he asks Akiba to wait a little more...but is countered by a 8 million yen offer. It gets worse by offers going up, surpassing the 20 million yen. Sousuke is surprised by those prices;
• Iwabuchi is pleased by Sousuke's expression, visible even through the mask: the face of someone's hopes being crushed. Though, there's still some way to go before it the objective is complete( reference to Sousuke fully breaking);
• We switch to Rika and Akiba, in another room. Misato seated, but secured by the staff. Rika says Sousuke becoming so worked up is cute. Misato asks what's Rika doing doing, and why is she hurting that teacher like that, it's too cruel;
• Rika says that Misato really came up in the world...and asks if she( Misato) has any issues with how her( Rika) does things. Misato backs off, and Rika says it's fine then. Misato is her dog, so it suits her to wag her tail obediently( with Misato agreeing);
• Misato asks that, since it has gone this far, how much did Rika read( as in understand/grasp) the situation, with Rika saying she knew everything. She thought that, by telling Sousuke about the party, he would turn to Akiba-sensei for help;
• A cockroach appears walking through the floor. Rika continues by saying Akiba-sensei is such a good-natured person, that she would come if called. That's why Rika thought about catching and humiliating her;
• Rika smashes the cockroach, while saying that a bad bug like her( Akiba), while swarming over the husband, deserves a divine punishment( Rika uses たかる/ takaru about Akiba, meaning to swarm over, as insects, or to squeeze others for money, favors, etc. She also uses 旦那 dan'na for Sousuke, again, just like her talk with Akiba, it means head/master of the house);
• She explains that Iwabuchi-san cooperated with her on a great plan to drive someone to despair. And their interests aligned, since Rika wanted to bring Akiba down;
• Misato is shocked that Yamanda-kuns despair was the goal, and also that the invitation to the party was for 2 people - a man and a woman. Misato assumed it was her and Sousuke, but Akiba was the target all along. Misato switches to self deprecating mode(again), and becomes sad that she was meant to be left out in the cold of this whole ordeal;
• Back at the venue, the winner of the auction is a fat guy who bid 68 million yen. Another guest gets annoyed that he lost to the fat guy, who also stinks. Sousuke is surprised by the exorbitant amount, and asks himself if the all the guests where so wealthy;
• Fat guy turns to Sousuke and asks about him shouting her name earlier, and wondering if she was his acquaintance, or his favorite. He apologizes, but says he's going to taste her first, and asks Sousuke to watch. He is the type to be persistent and agressive, and he's going to ravish her, and soak her in his scent, to last her lifetime;
• As he turns to Akiba to start, he says she's really cute up close, and it's a wonder she's a been a virgin for so long. Just then Akiba wakes up. The guy asks Iwabuchi about the getting pregnant part, now that she's awake. Iwabuchi assures him that the drug he's using causes some amnesia, so no memories will remain. With this, he can keep enjoying the act of taking her virginity;
• The guy says he's getting aroused by her smell. He says she might have a panic attack post-anesthesia, but assures her everything is OK. Akiba repeats the "it's ok" part;
• Chapter ends with the guy starting and ripping off her clothes.

I think it would be pretty funny if this was turned into a paradox. Sousuke gets close with Akiba because he's investigating Rika, who is cheating and made a secret account. On the other hand (for example) Rika made a secret account because she wanted to trap Sousuke and Akiba, whom she suspects are having an affair ~ (don't take this seriously)

On another note, doesn't it seem like the manga has an escalation problem? Like, every situation is more over-the-top than the previous one, and Rika feels like a 9000 IQ psychopath now.

I remember one of the downfalls of Juujika no Rokunin was that it was always escalating until it reached a point where no one cared about what was happening.

I think it will be flashbacks from Soska's past, not Akiba. Most likely, these will be the moments when he was under the influence of the drug that was given to Akiba.

Eh... dunno. It feels kinda contrived, but I can kinda see it working. Like, what if what Rika told Akiba about why Sousuke wouldn't divorce her was that she never cheated on him? But that raises a lot of questions, like why she's trying so hard to get him to have sex with another woman if she never cheated, why she's doing all this stuff, etc. But yeah, I can see it working as a twist.

Not sure if all lines up, but it would be an hell of an ending if Akiba was indeed defiled by that fat human turd, the big reveal comes that Sousuke was the one in the videos and that Rika never once fucked another man, she tells him she is ready to come home so they can be a family, that he has to forget about Akiba because now she is defiled...

...and Sousuke tells her to kick rocks, divorces her ass and ends up marrying Akiba who is now his daughter's stepmom while Rika loses it and becomes Iwabuchi's plaything...
