I think what the other person means by "losers" is that they're despicable people. How does that makes them the losers? The main point of those stories is that sheer lust outdoes pure love. If the guy loses his wife/girlfriend( siscon who loses his sister, or a mother who decides to abandon him) to a guy who has a bigger dick/ screws her better, THEY are the losers. That's it. True, in some stories there's some sort of epilogue, tender closure or even more despair, but that's just to the reader, the character is already far gone.
In Otome Dori it IS the main plot. Kazuki's sister being furious that he choose Otome over her does not change the fact that Kazuki is forced to see the woman he loves being broken by lust over and over again, due to being blackmailed. He even ends up with her and 2 childs who are not his. What changes is that Kazuki's sister uses her hatred to put Otome in her place of being blackmailed by the old rich guys. Worse, one of the guys is a big shot from the conglomerate whose business Kazuki is part of, later on, so it's unavoidable. Otome does indeed break, but his sister does not. Not only that, he is disowned by his family after his sister has her way with him. Kazuki IS the loser of this story.
I see, but those are a myriad, and NTR is just a small, avoidable part of them. I used Kabe bo Mukuo no tsuma 2 mainly because the 3 games focuses on NTR, but 2 is the only one which can be avoided somewhat and fall into swapping. Or is it other adult game you have in mind?
Their argument is that while the role of those people is that of the rapist/corrupter of the heroine, in reality they'd be shitty people who, ostensibly, couldn't "get a girl normally" so they have to resort to abduction, blackmail, rape, torture, drugs, etc. to make a woman actually want to be with them. No woman would of her own accord, because they're terrible individuals.
Of course, it's not that simplistic--sometimes they're just assholes who could get women, but enjoy the act of stealing or breaking them & their relationships. Still despicable, but not incapable of "getting a normal relationship".
I think the person you responded to is simply casting judgment on people of that chracter type who have those roles in manga/anime/VNs, and doing so via epithets calling out the deplorable immoral way they act and ascribing their methods to their inability to do things "the correct way".
