Now you're reminded of the letters Ono was sending to his sister back in the early chapters. He brainwashed himself to think he had his family back. Not only to insert himself in Lava's past. I can understand his hatred for heroes and I'm glad Lava fixed him.
But Chris should've have an idea about how powerful Lava is when she was capable of wiping city blocks. What is most impressive is how she managed to blow up Chris while keeping Ono safe. She would be an incredible heroine if none of this had happened.

I was warned the ending would be less than stellar, but this was almost cartoonish in the worst way. Lava beat the tar because..... stuff? Not even a well-drawn reason. The riot seems almost forgotten. It's all so anticlimactic.

Soooooo, the bear trap visor girl's as yet undefined ability turns out to be creating things. So her whole tough girl persona of wanting fight and be a delinquent comes down to her being able to make whatever the author needs to wrap up the story. Right. So the author read MHA and thought, women's prison romcom and the editor just said "yeah, lets see of this works."
