I'm nearing my fatigue point with this series. I'm not angry, just disappointed that it seemed like it was gonna do something interesting. Maybe the other shoe will fall one day and this all have been a masterful build up, but I doubt it and I don't think I'll be here still to find out.

This author LOVES beating around the bush. I feel like the second we get any info on Takt it’ll mark the end of the series in the author’s perspective. A lot of the reason anybody is here is because of the mystery. Really hoping this isn’t bait

Initially I was interested in the mystery. Found out that both Shizu and Umi were cute before with their long hair and glasses on Umi (This chapter reinstated it - Umi with glasses and long hair is hot, thou seems mentally broken and yanderish), and hoped at least one of them would get back to that better style. Spoilered myself about drama/tragic ending being promised by author and stayed to find out what it will be.

On the side Yako got introduced, she instantly became the best only sane girl/character overall in this story, and now I just want to see her being happy, and if that means she doesn't get together with the failure of a man that MC kinda is to stay sane - then so be it .

I don't think what Umimi did was good for her, or for Takt, either.

Also, if you feel bad for Takt now, then you'll really pity Takt after the 53rd chapter:

Why is Takt to do that to Umi? He seemed to be a "proper" BF for Shizu, going after a different girl seems "cheating" in nature - I mean he does seem weird at times even in early chapters doing NTRy ass-hole type faces but still.

Ah that was in flashback - makes sense then. Also we had a scene where Takt after breakup with Umimi told her that they dated each-other cause of the same reason - looking for someone else to replace the one they actually love. Which told us Umimi date Takt to try to replace MC, and with how Takt being gay is kinda advertised throughout the whole manga it probably was same for Takt - and him dating Shizuku is the same thing + some secret stuff which made Shizuku move away now.

So as long as Takt isn't really a proper boyfriend for Shizuku, he at least seems that way for outsiders - and hence why I was "shocked" he tried to kiss Umimi, but if its in a flashback that makes sense and the "issue" is no longer there if you will
