Man this would have been pretty good if the author knew how bullets work and wasnt so dead set on tokyo ghoul trauma porn.
The level of john wick cqc bullshittery here is off the charts it utterly destroys any suspension of disbelief.
Like the characters are immortal just have them get hit and deal with it but them dodging gunfire from entire troops of special forces inside a small room is utterly ridiculous.
Random goon gets shot at = Instant death
Important character gets shot at = NaeNae's around the bullet

And his sister just got randomly healed on her own? And his ghost didnt do shit till the very end?
How the fuck is society gonna be ok with the existence of these dudes when a single guy just one maned their entire army?
Like what is keeping anybody else from doing the same thing sato did? This rushed the shit out of the ending to every plot line and didnt give closure to anything.
Fireman was right this SHOULD make people go for a global demihuman hunt but just nothing happens? tokyo ghoul level clown ending.

@FrostySeven i know this is an old comment, but did you really expect a high school student to experience a 180° personality change into a fearless fighter immediately after he realizes that he's immortal? he spent his whole life aware of his mortality; not to mention he still experiences pain at the same intensity level. that mentality of avoiding pain/death isn't going to change in a day. maybe in a shounen manga with a gary stu protag, but this isn't that. if that's what you're into, i would say, yeah, this isn't the series for you.

though later in the manga,
as he experiences death more, there are moments where he doesn't hesitate to commit suicide to reset himself or intentionally leave himself vulnerable to injury (knowing that he can reset himself later on)
This is old too, but THIS❗❗❗

Genuine 10/10 story. So insanely good. I haven't gotten the chance to see the live action film yet, but if this manga ever got adapted into a hollywood budget film series, it definately would be one of the biggest action franchises of all time.

Thought I reviewed this before
Loved it, I love how it confronts "plot armour" and works around it, as with pretty much any story, you're not concerned the mc will die, and this directly confronts that

My main gripes would be the mc's personality retcon from early on,
the only female ajin is a typical backstory (somebody did note that the "ajin" that hugged her kinda looked like mc's, so, it'd be cool if it went around helping people, as it looks to have a sense of morality, the train crash in the beginning),
and the retcon of ajins being rare to then the anti-ajin person being one, and an Olympic gold medalist being one,
antagonist's defeat is THE end, I would've preferred at least one other antagonist,
ending friend showing up was very contrived

I do really like the "will materalised" dynamic, very very unique, you could say it's soul or something
The thought experiment too of swampman, and the biker accident sort of proving it in such a strange way, so cool
An invisible threat unless it directs its malice is cool, recording and seeing bodies fly being ripped apart, or the hospital scene in the beginning
So many cool things, with good explanation for how it all happens
Enemies sharing memories on accident might've been my favourite moment, just so cool, and it ends so well (Why that's neat, just the extreme contrast to them getting the power, him good initially then tortured, her bad initially then put under watch, his Dad basically loved him, but her Dad didn't, it's good)
ch19 I think it was, just so tense, maybe the most tense I've ever been reading something, pure 'wow'

7/10, I can't really give it 10
Ending is fine, characters are fairly good, worldbuilding is amazing (many many cool things done well), art is amazing, I feel if it was rewritten just a bit, it'd easily be 10/10, something to go back to
