@sneezl It was a novel adaptation. It was probably just one of the many examples of when they only bother with short adaptations to generate more interest in the actual novels. This site and others like it are littered with them. An axing in cases like novel adaptations would be more like cutting it short at a point that isn't even a decent stopping point for a preview, such as a few I can think of that suddenly had issues come up with the artist doing the adapting. Some of those restarted all together with new artists, but sometimes I imagine they just call it quits then and there rather than invest more time and money into it.
