So it seems Zeno got a big dose of dragon god whereas the others got the blood. He must've seen more of humankind than the other dragons, and can feel more empathy and experience human bonds alongside Zeno 🥲 We almost there!

i used to hate the yellow dragon god, but it seemed all of the dragon gods problems rooted in abandonment issue.
in the first place, the crimson dragon god, why the hell you're wasting such good friends like them? or maybe they're too attached on him, it made me uncomfortable too.
if only the yellow dragon god talked to zeno sooner, it wouldn't be like this. so to me personally, i wouldn't say it's a savior (yet).

It gives me kinda Fruits Basket vibes in the very best ways - the forever promise twisted by time and feelings into shackles. I love that the series is going in this direction for the final arc.

So what was YDG up to during all the time Zeno was suffering and getting more twisted up inside?
For all that I was happy to see YDG pop out as a literal deus ex machina… the more I ponder, the more it gives off an uncomfortable vibe of the very worst kind of Hurt/Comfort Fic.
So. Much. This. Thank you, it was my immediate thought but I couldn't think of a way to express it well.
To be fair to Mr. Yellow, can dragons easily manifest themselves in that way so they can communicate? I mean all this is happening specifically because of the chalice.
Then why Yellow dragon didn't appear instantly after they are in the Chalice?

Makes sense now when you think about it. Zeno can basically do White and Green dragon abilities under the condition he's damaged. (Can't remember if he was able to mimic the Blue dragon)
Plus effective immortality.
I imagine the Yellow dragon did it this way to hangout with the Crimson dragon more closely for his human lifespan, rather than watching from the heavens.
Makes sense now when you think about it. Zeno can basically do White and Green dragon abilities under the condition he's damaged. (Can't remember if he was able to mimic the Blue dragon)

Does this mean that the real reason Zeno was immortal was because he had become a vessel for the yellow dragon kami? I mean, immortality is on a totally different level from having OP eyesight or arm/leg strength. Perhaps without the dragon inside him, Zeno would have just had impeccable regenerative abilities and would only be able to die from a mortal wound or "old age"(at least as far as dragon warrior lifespans are concerned). 🤔
I'm also more willing to forgive the yellow dragon kami than the rest of the dragon kami. We have yet to hear his perspective after all. Perhaps he became sympathetic to Zeno and the other warriors only after Kaya died. Perhaps he had no power to change things for Zeno due to the promise mentioned in this chapter. Perhaps the dragon kami have very little say over the world at all. At the very least, he isn't trying to obstruct Yona and the dragon warriors for his own self interest the way the other dragon kami are.
Also, to put things in perspective, the dragons have been waiting for Hiryū for a little over 2,000 years. What is that in the face of their existence from the dawn until the end of time? In comparison to their natural "lifetimes", that might be similar to how long we've been waiting for a second season of the Akatsuki no Yona anime. XD

I thought it was a little odd that only three out of the four dragons showed up so far. If he’s been chilling in Zeno this whole time, it certainly explains why his power is something as OP as immortality.
He can’t (as far as we know). I recall him saying that he gouged out his eyes at one point, but all he got was super tough eyes.
