Especially as you read this moving forward, Soo-won is a great king (as far as what I have read back then), he really improved Kouka and made it stronger again. Citizens were starting to have better life. He's hands on too. He personally went to solve big problems on every tribe to make the leaders follow him. AND HAK BELIEVED IN HIM. HAK knew he's the best candidate to be the next king, to be with Yona-hime. That's why he was willing to be his right-hand you know. They simply want him to be crowned as king the right way AHHHHHHHH 😭😭😭
