You know, Soo-Won being the physical successor of Hiryuu with that illness and Yona being the reincarnation probably has to do with how adamant Il wasn about Yona being able to marry anyone but him, and maybe the children/wives has something weird to do with which brother was chosen to be the emperor.
I recall the general from the fire tribe ranting about having the blood of Hiryuu in their veins, making them the true successors of the throne. That at some point in history Hiryuu’s blood descendants lost control of the country. Therefore, it’s still true that Il and Yuhon were the princes of kouka even though they weren’t Hiryuu’s bloodline.
And if Yonhi is a daughter of the fire tribe, that could validate the former general’s claims. Zeno confirms at least she’s related to Hiryuu. The general’s claims raise reasonable evidence that the recent ruling bloodline of kouka (I’ll/Yuhon) wasn’t related to Hiryuu.
In Yona’s case, it may shake out that the rules of reincarnation in this world don’t require that a soul will reincarnate within its former body’s bloodline. In other words: Yona is the reincarnation of the soul, but is possibly not even blood related to Hiryuu.
@Evil_Twin
oh so that what it means.... I thought there is another term for Akatsuki no Yona that I have skimmed through and misread. Anyways thank you for the update!
i think nope... Suwon wasn't there when they first met with the dragons.
And based on the discussions here, It seems that Suwon is the "direct" descendant of King Hiryuu based on bloodline but Yona got to have the soul of King Hiryuu as the reincarnation. Anyway for me this seems to be a big reveal... Now, I want to know what is Hak's role with all of these King Hiryuu's and dragons' reincarnation cycle if we consider the prophecy of high priest Ik-soo in the beginning about shields and swords...
also there’s like 3 dudes in the whole Kingdom that would stand against them if they just decided to tell everyone to fuck off and took over. The military is basically aligned with Hak, the citizenry with Yona. Between them and the dragons they could seize power seamlessly in seconds. Who is actually holding them hostage at this point? That new Chekov’s rando?
i wil try to read the future in the stars for you:
Yona and Soo-Woon are brother and sister, but the consort of the king (that was something similar to a shaman) foretell that Yona is the reincarnation of the red king. So Yona was adoptet by king Il and when some problem arised the king killed his brother and real father of Yona.
With this i think everythink fall in his place.😁😁😁
Let me know your thoughs guys!
Author pulling something out of his ass to make soowoon forgivable.
> Pulls terminal illness.
> Also pulls you are brother and sister.
"Now kiss so we can end this!"
Tbh, I've stopped reading and is just waiting for the conclusion. *shrug
every chapter is hak, dragons & yona trying to meet each other and being met with bullshit i am in physical pain... idc when sowoon dies i just wanna see someone punch the disrespect off kyesooks face :/
honestly, the series has been suggesting there was something going on behind soowoon's actions for a very long time now. you can get mad all you want at yona's sudden decisive-submissiveness or whatever the fuck that is, but soowoon getting explained has been in the stars for so so damn long that it honestly baffles me people are acting like its an unreasonable swerve in the story that he isnt some one-dimensional asshole.
and can we hold off on the assumption that we're supposed to 'forgive' him until the series makes the suggestion that we should? cuz having motivations, a backstory, and a character searching for answers is not there to "make him forgiveable"
So does that mean Yona will also die once the next inheritor comes into play Soo Woon is probably dying faster because it's Yona who is using the power more just like how the previous dragon gets sick and die when the next dragon comes into play and slowly all their powers transfer to the next one.
The theory that Yona and Soowon are actually siblings seems a bit unnecessary, because it’s already been established VERY early in the story that they’re cousins. So as it is now, the fact they both have Red Dragon blood is not unrealistic.
dudes dudes, calm down, there's n oway this is going to be the same as Arcana.
There's no way they are brothers, but cousin's CAN very much cary the same blood, the only difference, is that Yona is the choosen one, wereas the Soon is not.
